Cheese Scones.
These Cheese Scones are a savoury treat which are deliciously cheesy and crumbly in texture. They can be enjoyed warmed up or cold with butter. If you prefer a plain scone or fruit scone don't worry these will be added very soon.
Ingredients
8oz Gluten Free Self-Raising Flour.
1 Tsp of Baking Powder.
2oz of Soft Margarine.
1 Egg.
A Pinch of Salt.
Enough Milk to Bind.
Loads of Cheese.
Makes 10.
Muffin tin needed.
Method
Preheat your oven to 200 oC / Fan 180 oC / Gas Mark 6.
Start by buttering your muffin tins, this will ensure that your cheese scones do not stick to the tins.
Now place the Gluten Free Self-Raising flour, Baking Powder and Salt into a large bowl. Mix these together when these dry ingredients are fully combined add in your soft margarine.
Gently rub in the soft margarine into the dry ingredients. You are aiming for this to appear like a breadcrumb texture.
When you have achieved the breadcrumb like texture, you are ready to add the grated cheese. I have not given you a desired amount for this as you can decide how much cheese you would like in your cheese scones. Now stir in the cheese.
Crack the egg into a separate cup and mix well. Now add this to your mixture and stir in. Keep adding splashes of milk until this is fully combined into a soft and gooey mixture.
Taking an ice cream scoop, scoop your mixture into the pre buttered muffin tins.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown and well risen.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from the tins.
Enjoy your Gluten Free Cheese Scones.

Lots of Love Eve-Grace.
